Here's the outside view of our 43' 5th Wheel, 2022 Keystone Avalanche 390ds (Dual Suite)!
We love this living area set-up! There are slides on both sides of the Living Area, so it opens up to a large space! We did remove the original sofa and wall-mounted table for this Ikea Kivik Sofa and Ottoman (we use as another sofa seat) and a table from Amazon. This fit our needs more. I love rearranging, this is the 3rd layout of the Living Area Slide.
Our kitchen has a lot of great storage! We use the Coffee Bar and cabinets as pantry storage. The Kitchen Slide cabinets have all our pots, pans, spices, bread making supplies, etc. If you would like some super easy, but delicious Bread Recipes using the RV OVEN- check out my recipes tab!! We did replace the loft ladder with a custom-made stair case featuring storage drawers (family games) and a pop-up desk. This was our original homeschool area for our daughter, before we converted her dresser area to a desk in her bedroom.
Our Master Bedroom has a King Bed. It did come with a RV King Mattress, but honestly RV mattresses are not the most comfortable- and for living, we needed comfort- so we switched it for our Residential King Mattress that we already had from our house. The Master Bedroom came with a built-in dresser and storage bench. There is also a large closet, even with Washer/Dryer Hook-ups, although we did not add a washer & dryer.
There are two entrances for the Master Bathroom- a pocket door from the master bedroom and a normal door from the hallway.
The Second Bedroom was originally a Queen Bed. We wanted to give our daughter more space, so Chris converted the Queen Bedframe to a Twin/Daybed Hybrid. This took quite a bit of engineering- but if you didn't know it came with a queen bed, you would think this is the original design! The Second Bedroom came with built-in cabinets and dresser. Chris added closet rods to the top cabinets, and adjustable shelves to the bottom cabinets. He converted the dresser to a desk for our daughter to have a homeschool area. He was able to repurpose two of the dresser drawers in the new bedframe design. Our daughter now has her own space, plenty of storage, homeschool desk/office supplies space, and even a jam session area for her guitar! This Second Bedroom also has it's own full bathroom with shower, and even an extra exit door for our RV. This door has come in quite handy for travel day stops when there wasn't a bathroom available!
Check out this amazing LOFT! It's the tallest loft we've ever seen! Almost 3' tall, over 8' wide, and 10.5' deep!! This loft is above the entire second bedroom and bathroom! This loft was originally our daughter's sleeping space- but recently she moved into the second bedroom. This left the loft with open potential! We turned this loft into a Game Room, Craft Room AND Guest Bed! Our daughter loves having this second space for her video games, or just to hang out! We repurposed the RV Queen Mattress from the second bedroom up to the loft for the guest bed. Our daughter is super excited to have this second sleeping area for trips when she sees her cousins!
